Support Women’s History Sites – Donate Today

By December 2, 2025 No Comments

For more than two decades, the National Collaborative for Women’s History Sites (NCWHS) has worked to ensure that women’s lives and leadership are visible across our nation’s historic landscape. What began as a network of passionate volunteers has become a respected national voice for women’s history interpretation and preservation.

In August of 2025, NCWHS gathered a group of stakeholders to discuss how the organization might respond to this moment, and what its future might look like. From that meeting came a Summary Action Plan and a  Case for Support. This came from no small amount of time and valuable input.

Today, we face an urgent crossroads. NCWHS operates entirely through volunteer labor and has no stable source of income. The organization’s infrastructure—our website, membership system, and collaborative projects—now hangs in the balance. This is not a call for growth, but for stabilization. We need immediate financial support to preserve what NCWHS has built and to allow time for thoughtful decisions about the organization’s future. Without an annual investment of about $6,500, we risk losing the platform that has connected women’s history advocates and advanced our shared mission for more than twenty years.

December 2nd, Giving Tuesday, is the perfect chance to make a contribution—no matter the size—to help sustain NCWHS through this critical transition. Together, we can protect the foundation so many of you helped to build, ensuring that women’s stories continue to be researched, shared, and celebrated across the countryPlease consider making a gift today at NCWHS.org or by mailing a donation to:
